Mission Statement
The Veditz Center shall serve to operate a facility to house educational training, recreational and community activities, cultural enrichment, resource services; and to create collaboration among local, state, federal, and privately owned entities that provide services to deaf individuals and their families.
It started as a dream. At social events, the deaf community in Colorado threw out far-fetched dreams of having a deaf center. It was shared among the youth and elderly on how it should look and what it should include. This has been a wild dream for over 10 years.
Currently it is a vision. With deaf centers starting to pop up in other states, it is now realized that it is not a far-fetched dream at all. The name, Veditz Center, was chosen by the deaf community and turned into a non-profit organization to transform this far-fetched dream into a vision.
Eventually it’ll be a reality. Veditz Center will be taking careful steps, one step at a time, for the deaf community to open eyes and see Veditz Center in stone; a place where we can communicate and celebrate in ASL.
